As the Pearl of Africa celebrated her 61st independence anniversary, Uganda expanded the tiger family by two. The Entebbe based Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC), home to the only tigers in East Africa received a set of twins on 22nd September 2023. Born to Brown (the twin mother) and Yura (the dad), the two babies are in good health and doing well. Adventure Consults had an interesting conversation with one of the vets the center who advised that Tigers and other big cats usually give to any number of cubs, so for that reason, when they give birth to two babies, they are never addressed as twins but simply two cubs. Interesting Wildlife facts!

We hope to have a naming ceremony for the babies soon. Adventure Consults’ day excursionsinclude a visit to Uganda Wildlife Education Center which is part of Entebbe tours. Visit the center and get to see more than just the youngest striped cats in Africa.
