October 19th marked the 57th anniversary of Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma of Rwenzururu Kingdom. The function that was held at at Kilembe Mines golf course – Kasese District, attracted thousands of people from different parts of East Africa who among others included cultural leaders, religious leaders, politicians and the local communities from Rwenzori region.
The celebrated King is the head of the Rwenzururu Kingdom where the majestic Rwenzori Mountains National park is located and to the East, the Kingdom is bordered by Queen Elizabeth National park, and to the south is Kibale Forest National park.
As part of the activities to celebrate his anniversary, the King had a tour of Queen Elizabeth National Park where he enjoyed amazing game drives and a boat ride on the Kazinga channel.
