Airlines flying to Entebbe/Uganda
Entebbe International Airport is the largest airport, and notably only international airport in Uganda. Here is a list of airlines that operate to/from Entebbe international airport as of May 2022.

Regional Airlines operating at Entebbe Airport.
The following airlines fly in and out of Entebbe international Airport. These mainly operate within East Africa, connecting Kenya’s and Tanzania’s National parks to Uganda’s National parks via Entebbe international airport. These regional airlines have made it easy for travelers to have complete East Africa Safari experiences. Most regional airlines only work with a minimum number of passengers in order to meet minimum operational cost. Domestic airlines and flights in Uganda
The following airlines operate flights in and out of Entebbe to most National parks and major towns in Uganda. They all fly to upcountry airstrips across the country, from towns with tarmac runways to remote villages with short dirt strips. All our flying safaris run in partnership with these domestic airline operators. A number of our safaris interconnect between National parks and these airlines have proved to be the best and most reliable partners.

Our Flying safaris are tailored around the daily scheduled flights that depart Entebbe airport and Kajjansi Airstrip to all National parks in Uganda. The commonly used aircrafts for scheduled departures are Cessna Grand Caravans, configured to carry up to 11 passengers each. These caravans are designed to take passengers to remote safari destinations in comfort‚ with generous legroom and leather seats.
Adventure Consults also arranges private charters in cases where scheduled departures do not meet client personal timings. The most commonly used aircrafts for private charters in Uganda are single engine Cessna 206, 208, 201 and the luxury PC 12.
Depending on number of passengers and budget lines, we also use Cessna Grand Caravans for private charters. Note that we recommend caravans as they more comfortable and less bumpy.

Baggage policy on regional and domestic flights.
Strict luggage and weight restrictions on light air crafts exist because most airfields are over 3,500 feet above sea level and are located in the warm tropics, thereby reducing the permissible carrying capacity.
The nature of most flights either on Schedule or Charter, the available aircrafts are small in size and therefore have much smaller luggage holds than most of typical international/regional aircrafts. Above all, safety is paramount, so luggage restriction becomes essential.
The following guidelines are applicable to Cessna Grand Caravans that we commonly used for scheduled departures. Luggage restrictions on private charter is always different from that on schedules as it depends on number passengers.
Checked in baggage: Maximum luggage weight is 15 kgs /33lbs in soft sided bags. As a guideline, standard checked luggage should have the three dimensions of 24 inches (60cm) height, by 18inches (45cm) length and 13 inches (33cm) width.
Hand luggage; This should be 12 inches (30cm) height, by 21 inches (53cm) length, by 9 inches (23cm) width. Carry On Baggage
Carry-on baggage; Personal items like handbags, small umbrellas, walking sticks, coats, small bag pack can be stored under the seat in front of passenger or in an overhead bin where applicable. These items must not exceed 5 Kgs/ 11lbs and are part of the baggage allowance of 15kgs/ 33lbs.
Extra weight: If you wish to carry additional luggage, depending on space availability, prevailing rate of USD 3 will apply per kilo for local/scheduled flights. Note that is applicable when the aircraft is not filled to capacity.
In order to guarantee extra baggage, Adventure Consults recommends that you book and pay for an additional freight seat in advance. The extra seat will allow for an additional 75kgs/165lbs excess luggage. Please get in touch with your safari consultant at sales@adventureconsults.com for assistance.
Wheelchairs, Canes, Walkers, Crutches and other assistive devices will be carried free of charge for qualified passengers with disability and are not included in the baggage allowance described. These items need to be collapsible. Baby car seat and foldable prams/ stroller will also be accepted.

Luggage storage facilities are available at all hotels in Entebbe/Kampala. Please let our guides/staff know if you have extra baggage that need to be stored and shall be returned to you at the end of the trip.
Adherence to the rules and regulations regarding domestic and regional fight baggage limitation is highly recommended.
