East Africa’s regional air service took a giant leap last June by adding direct flights from Kenya’s Masai Mara National Preserve to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda.

The new flight makes it much easier for visitors to combine Masai Mara’s legendary wildlife and Uganda’s famous primates, birds and tree-climbing lions.

Air Kenya flights depart Mara airport daily at 8:45 AM, with a short stopover at Kisumu for customs and immigration, before proceeding to Entebbe for an 11:30 AM arrival.

The schedule matches perfectly with the onward connections to Uganda’s national parks using Air Kenya’s sister company Aerolink Uganda.

The reverse service departs Entebbe at 12:15 PM with a scheduled arrival in Mara at around 2:30 PM.

The service from Masai Mara to Entebbe requires a minimum of two passengers (or two paid seats) per flight.

Adventure Consults offers both scheduled and private chartered bush flights to the natural treasures of Uganda. Some adventurous travelers prefer to take road trips so they can discover the countryside. But for road journeys that stretch beyond six hours, we recommend short flights.
