The River Nile in Uganda is nothing short of an adventurous experiences. It’s where you get wet and wild while traversing through rapids.

If one is interested in spending more time on the rapids of the mighty River Nile, a full day rafting experience is ideal. We however have got those who opt to spend a few hours on the rapids then go out and relax at the hotel or enjoy a horseback ride, quad biking or take walk by the river banks. In this case, half day rafting is simply perfect!
Full day white water rafting – Jinja.
This is Adventure Consults’ most popular rafting trip and ultimate challenge on the White Nile. The 19 to 23 Kms ride through 5 – 8 rapids is an experience that gives most participants undying memories!
Your river adventure starts along the flat waters of the Nile with a comprehensive safety training. This helps you get accustomed to the water as you try out demonstrations on raft paddling and boat flips. Get to know your teammates, safety crew and guides.
Your day will be filled with a mix of both heavy rapids and flat waters to relax your body and mind. At some point, you will be more like flying on top of the waters, and finally get to the calm sections.
Our team will often offer a flip for those who dare to hit the biggest waves, so please got for it! Alternatively, you may opt to hold tight on the raft as you ride through the rough but amazing waters!
The day ends with a short drive to the river base where snacks, limitless beers and soft drinks are served as you enjoy views of the river Nile. The full day white water rafting experience is restricted to ages from 16 years and above.
Half day white water rafting – Jinja.
This is a shorter but exciting adventure that lasts about 3 hours on the rapids of the Nile.
Just like the full day rafting option, the adventure starts along the flat waters of the Nile with a comprehensive safety training. This helps you get accustomed to the water as you try out demonstrations on paddling the rafts/boats and boat flips. Get to know your teammates, safety crew and guides.
You will then push the raft to the river above the mild rapid that will get you wet and wild. It’s at this stage that your adrenaline starts pumping!
Here, you will see yourself through the conservative lines of grade 3 and 4 rapids. Your last part takes you to grade 5 and finally sail to the flat waters with an option to end the 15 km stretch with a swim.
Have refreshments or your packed lunch, meet Adventure Consults guide and head back to the hotel or proceed to the next activity. The half day white water rafting experience is restricted to ages from 16 years and above.

- Light shorts and t-shirts to wear on the river.
- If you sunburn easily consider long sleeved T-shirts.
- Suncream – you will be out in the sun for 4 – 5 hours.
