It is on record that “The pearl of Africa” is home to 50% of Africa’s and 11% of the word’s Bird population.

These among others include the elusive pre-historic dinosaur lookalike – the shoebill, blue swallow, short-winged Night jar, green breasted pitta, to the largest bird on earth – the common ostrich.
